MFA - Multi Factor Authentication

As we have been rolling out MFA for all of our Office 365 clients we thought it might be a good idea to explain what is Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)

So, what is Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)? Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security mechanism in which individuals are authenticated through more than one required security and validation procedure. It works by requiring two or more of the following authentication methods:

- Something you know (typically a password)

- Something you have (a trusted device that is not easily duplicated, like a phone)

- Something you are (biometrics)

As your IT provider, we want to, and need to provide you a secure system for your business.  To improve the security of your email accounts we are now implementing Microsoft's mandatory security measures immediately on all Office 365 accounts.
