Celebrating 10 Years of Service: Dennis Bortolin’s Anniversary at Veritech
This month, November 2025, we are proud to celebrate a remarkable milestone:
10 years of service from one of our longest-standing and most beloved team members, Dennis Bortolin.
Dennis joined Veritech a decade ago as an entry-level technician. Since then, he has grown into one of our most trusted and respected consultants—leading major projects, delivering seamless systems improvements, and building relationships with clients that stand the test of time.
What sets Dennis apart isn’t just his capability (which is exceptional), but his unique brand of delivery:
high-calibre technical execution, paired with subtle, dry humour that has become a trademark among both colleagues and clients.
Dennis has evolved into someone we consider a cornerstone of our culture—reliable, sharp, and a little cheeky in all the right ways.
So, from all of us at Veritech:
Congratulations Dennis on your 10 years of progress, achievement, and impact. We’re lucky to have you.
A Short Interview with Dennis
To celebrate the occasion, we sat down with Dennis and asked him a few reflective (and a few just-for-fun) questions.
What’s one thing you’ve learned here that you’ll never forget?
“The value of documentation. It can dictate if you spend 20 minutes or 3 hours on a job.”
Hard to argue with that.
What achievement are you proudest of?
“Probably the relationships with colleagues (who I now consider friends) and clients.”
Not technically an “achievement”—but we disagree. It’s one of the most valuable outcomes of any career.
If you could give “Day 1 You” advice, what would it be?
“Ask the annoying questions, rather than assume.”
A timeless piece of wisdom for any technician—or human.
How has your role changed since you started?
“I’ve gone from being an onsite hardware engineer for our agencies, to maintaining and managing business networks and infrastructure.”
A full evolution from hands-on field tech to infrastructure leader.
What’s something your coworkers would be surprised to learn about you?
“I prefer Opera over Rock.”
This revelation shook the IT department.
Which task or tool has caused you the most emotional damage over the years?
“Printers…”
We feel this in our soul.
If your job had a theme song, what would it be?
“That’s Life” — Frank Sinatra.
A classic. And honestly, an excellent fit.
Funniest thing that’s ever happened to you at work (safe for publication)?
“In my early years, I went to send HP warranty parts back to Sydney and accidentally sent them to myself. I put both pickup and destination addresses as our office—the courier picked up the box, and the next day delivered the same box right back to the office.”
An efficient round trip. Zero progress. Maximum comedy.
What emoji best describes you at work?
🤘 (the_horns)
Appropriate.
What’s your unofficial job title?
“The Joker (because I do love banter!).”
Confirmed by multiple departments.
Thank You, Dennis
Ten years of commitment, growth, humour, and excellence is worth celebrating—and we couldn’t be more grateful for everything Dennis has contributed to Veritech and our clients.
Here’s to the next decade of innovation, brilliance, and printer-related emotional challenges.
Congratulations, Dennis.
Your work—and your banter—make Veritech a better place.
